Organic Farm

Organic Farm

In the near future, we will include organic farming to the vocational training program, so the deaf students can skillfully raise vegetables and fruits organically without any chemical pesticides. At the present, a part of our 39 acres land at Ibadan and Lagos expressway is being used for that purpose. However, our goal is to expand the land to 120 acres, so we can cultivate 80 acres for organic farm, planting plenty of pineapples, plantains, paw paws, mangoes, coconuts, cassavas, yams, potatoes, corns and different vegetables, create a few fish ponds and poultry. We are highly concerned with becoming self-sustained in order to reduce the huge amount spent on buying food for student feeding. We also intend to use our farm to support more students from poor homes and generate more income by selling the farm produces and products.
